You can specified the file type (extension) of the files you are going to share with other users. If you have more extensions than what shown on this screen, you can just type them in such as txt exe as shown below. This setup is informational only and does not affect your download process if you simply use the default options.

If you have more than folders or directories to share, click Share New Folder... to specify each folder you want to share. WinMX lists all folders that are currently being shared. If you make a mistake or want to remove a folder from the list, select the folder you want to remove with Unshare Selected Folder(s)...

This screen defines the connection type. If you have DSL speed, then select DSL. Choose a faster connection such as T3 will degrade WinMX performance.
