Above is the final image created. It shows how to assemble hundreds of images seamlessly regarding color, perspective, and composition. In this tutorial I'll take you through the steps involved in creating this image, spending just enough time on the photoshop technicalities so you can create a completely different image using a similar approach. I try to put links in the places where one might want more detail of how to do certain tasks in photoshop. The pictures do most of the talking with the words mainly here to fill in the gaps of the how and the why.

A brightly lit scene can contain an infinite number of tonal values. Our vision system ingeniously adapts to such conditions; however, no camera digital or otherwise is capable of recording the entire tonal range of such a scene in a single shot. In this section, I'll show you how to use Photoshop's new Merge to HDR filter to create digital images with incredible dynamic range.

In this Adobe Photoshop tutorial, we're going to learn an easy way to soften and smooth someone's skin in a photo without blurring out important image details, such as the person's eyes and mouth. The technique we'll be looking at is actually a slight variation on a method normally used for advanced image sharpening, which serves as a great example of why it's much more important to understand what you're doing rather than simply memorizing a bunch of steps or "recipes".

In this Adobe Photoshop tutorial, we're going to look at how to do a bit of reverse photo restoration, turning a new or recent photo into one that looks like it was taken many years ago, and we'll be doing it by combining several separate effects to create our final result. We'll be looking at how to replace a photo's original colors with a classic sepia tone, how to add a soft glow to an image, how to darken edges, how to add noise, dust and scratches, how to fade an image by brightening the blacks and darkening the whites, and we'll even see how to bring back some of the photo's original color when we're done. Lots of fun stuff!
