We position the cursor at the right edge of the blue rectangle of the "Still"
timeline and drag the edge to line up with the audio component. We can just type in
the desired duration (06 seconds : 23 frames) in the "Duration" field in the
Property Browser window. Scenarist displays a warning message in the Information
window if it has to pad a few frames at the end of the audio track to line up with
the video still portion.
Now we can add a mask (or highlight) layer to the title menu track. From the Asset
Manager window, drag the item motiontitlemask from the subfolder "Subpicture" and
drop it to an empty area between the Audio and Scenes timeline. Scenarist creates
the first subpicture layer for the still scene motiontitle-t-scn. The DVD
specifications allow the creation of up to 32 subpicture layers. The default language
for this subpicture layer is "Not Specified". We should select an appropriate
language code so that the language choice is displayed by a standard DVD player
(when the Subtitle/Subpicture button is pressed on the remote control unit). In this
example, we choose English as the language code for the first subpicture stream.
