The Track Editor tab is used to assemble multiplexed and synchronized segments of
video and audio assets which can be referenced throughout the DVD project. Since the
final DVD contains sixteen chapters, we will need to create sixteen tracks, one for
each chapter. We now locate the data item rnd01 in the folder "Images". This data
item represents the bitmap file rnd01.jpg. We drag and drop this asset into the
folder "Tracks" to build the required track for the first chapter as following. This
track does not have any audio component so each chapter is built as a silent slide
show. Scenarist automatically assigns a duration of 10 seconds to a slide show. We
can change the duration of a slide show by selecting its timeline and drag its blue
border. We can also change the timeline duration by entering a value of 5 seconds
into the "Duration" field in the Property Browser window.
Scenarist prompts for the type of track to create. We select "Slide show" for this
data item as shown below, since you may want to add accompanied audio to this track
later. The procedure to build the remaining tracks rnd02-t through rnd16-t is
identical to the steps required to build the first track rnd01-t. The remaning tracks
represent the image data needed for the next 15 chapters.
