This command links to a PTT (Part Of Title) of the current VTS (the VTS having the PGC issuing this command) and
optionally highlights a specified menu button. In the title domain, a Part-Of-Title is uniquely identified by its
program chain (PGC) and the program number (PGN) within that PGC. The DVD specifications support up to 255 PTTs per
each PGC.
The PGC contains the command LinkPTT has to be in the title domain. If the domain is a VTS Menu (VTSM) domain,
JumpVTS_PTT is used to refer to the PTT of any VTS present on the DVD disc.
There is usually one PTT present for each title in the VTS. The relationship between PGCs and PTTs is arbitrary.
In other words, there can be one single PTT for multiple PGCs in a VTS or many PTTs for a group of PGCs.
This command syntax emphasizes that Link instructions are used within the same domain, while Jump instructions go to
a different domain.
LinkPTT is not allowed in the First-Play domain, the Video Manager VMG domain, or the Video Title Set Menu VTSM domain.
This command can be combined with the
Compare GPRM operations
for conditional branching. When combining, this command is
executed only if the result of the comparison is true.
1)
Compare to another GPRM register and LinkPTT
2)
Compare to another SPRM register and LinkPTT
3)
Compare to a constant value and LinkPTT
